Two Mouthwatering NYC Eateries

What better way to start 2014 than a trip to the ‘big apple’, NYC! It’s bustling atmosphere, high end luxuries and it’s culinary charms are what make it one of the most desired destinations to travel to.

Whether you want flavorsome street food like pizzas, tacos, and burgers or refined restaurants, New York city supplies both in abundance and with great quality. So, I thought I would do everyone a favour and pick the best one from each category!

My Top 2 Food Spots in the NYC:

1:Shake Shack:

Shake Shack, or as I like to call it, Heaven in Madison Square Park! The original of all holy and beefy. The burger joint is an outside venue in which you can sit and enjoy the greatness that Shake Shack has to offer. it is also conveniently located close to the Flat Iron Building, a popular tourist spot for it’s interestingly shaped renaissance style facade.

It’s not uncommon, even in the freezing cold to have a line of 20 to 30 people most probably waiting for the ‘Shack’s’ most famous burger, the ‘ShackBurger’. A cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato and the infamous ShackSauce. The prices are almost too good to be true (burgers ranging from $4-$9 depending on what you get)

2: Loeb Boathouse

For a more luxurious and proper sit down meal, try the Loeb Boathouse. Nestled within the beautiful Central park, it is the only restaurant in the city that is situated right on a lake, giving you breathtaking views of the park and beyond.

Make sure you have a reservation or go early for lunch because this restaurant gets packed out very quickly and it’s easy to understand why. If you have to wait a little while, don’t stress to much, They do takeaway coffees and you can either continue strolling around Central Park or (weather permitted) sit outside in the little outside cafe area.

Myself and my sister ordered Fish and Chips with a spicy tartare sauce and beef slider.
