40 Kong Dubai

We were invited to 40 Kong earlier this week to try their amazing new international menu. Located at the luxurious H Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, 40 Kong presents some of the most spectacular views in Dubai with it’s three-hundred and sixty degree view of the beautiful city.

Being very indecisive, we gained enough trust in our waiter to order on our behalf after a few minutes of his sweet talk. God were we thankful and you’ll soon see exactly why.

We begun our night with some traditional Japanese edameme beans and a cheeky glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

For mains, our waiter recommended we try the amazing Salmon Tartare – Fresh Norwegian salmon tartare with crispy toasted bread, the traditional way to eat tartar. We were also recommended the Thai Beef Glass Noodle Salad – Angus beef tenderloin, onions, tomatoes, celery, cucumber, bell pepper and chilli pepper.

Following the amazing salmon tartare and beef glass noodle salad, was a succulent Grilled Organic Chicken Breast with Mint Yogurt. The tender corn fed chicken with grilled vegetables was so damn juicy it had me attacking my partner’s plate.

My absolute favourite though, was the Home Made Potato Wedges with Truffles and Cheese. Smothered with white truffle oil and grated parmigiano, these wedges melted in your mouth like butter.

Finally, dessert time! We held our excitement when first laying eyes on the delicious cheesecake with raspberry topping, before devouring it like scavengers. The perfect ending to a divine dinner.

40 Kong is the ideal place to head to if you’re after a light meal and couple well-deserved cocktails after a painful week in the office. Thursday’s are the busiest with half of the media world in Dubai heading straight to the rooftop restaurant and bar. So if you have your networking cap on, you know exactly where to go.
