Presenting the dominating Mercedes GL63 AMG thanks to Mercedes-Benz Middle East.
When we were offered the opportunity to get behind the wheel of this beauty over the weekend, we would’ve been stupid to say no. Yes, the new GL-Class may be more of a family car than a sports car, but if you’re a businessman with a couple of kids and out to find a vehicle with extreme talk, then you better try this beauty.
On my final day of the test drive experience, I took the GL63 on a little off-road adventure to Kite Beach located opposite the Burj al Arab and was able to snap these beauties with the sun setting parallel to The Palm Atlantis in the background.
The new high-performance SUV combines compelling technologies with an extensive range of standard equipment and pure ride comfort for up to seven passengers. Effortless superiority comes courtesy of the AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine, which develops a peak output of 410 kW (557 hp) and maximum torque of 760 Nm.
Every journey in the GL-Class turns into a symphony of select and truly electrifying impressions. The passengers will rarely break into a sweat in the GL-Class. As a seven seater off-roader, it is ideally equipped for all conceivable situations – yet at the same time offers everything that goes to make a comfortable contemporary vehicle: comfortable seats, automatic climate control and pleasant ambient lighting.
