Located within the amazing Souk of Madinat Jumeirah, noodle house is a restaurant I’ve been meaning to try out for sometime now. So when the guys at Dabo & Co invited me to review their menu, I cut them short of their sentence with a massive YES!
Two cuisines I’m a huge fan of are Lebanese and Asian. noodle house satisfied my Asian taste buds with this amazing dinner:
Starters:
Hangzhou’ Styled Beans (25) – Smothered in an amazing savoury garlic sauce, edamame beans are the greatest starters. I could honestly eat them for hours and not get tired.
Wasabi Prawns (45) – The mango salsa is paired deliciously with the spiciness of the wasabi prawns. Not too spicy, the prawns were one of my favourite dishes of the night. They were light, refreshing and well prepared.
Crispy Calamari (35) – Oh how I love crispy calamari! The salt and pepper squid, which is what I call them back in Australia, are a must have. However, I personally recommend you have the on their own and without the soy sauce. If you’re like myself, I don’t like mixing flavours and the spices used on the calamari are amazing on their own.
Seafood Siew Mai (35) – Finally some dim sim! The seafood siew mai were good, but I preferred the chicken.
Prawn Hacao (35) – And more dim sim. The prawn hacao take the crown through. They are steamed to perfection and melt in your mouth. Have with soy and chilli sauce.
Vegetable Spring Rolls (35) – Perfect way to end our starter experience, with some fresh vegetable spring rolls. Like the prawn hacao, I love having these bad boys with soy and chilli sauce. Adds a little more flavour.
Mains:
Mu Shu Duck (40) – I wasn’t a huge fan of the mu shu duck, then again I’m not a huge fan of duck in general unless it’s roasted. My uncle however, capitalised on this opportunity and didn’t hesitate to get to the bottom of the bowl within a couple of minutes.
Black Pepper Beef (60) – Tenderloin cooked to perfection with aromatic black pepper sauce. It was so rich in flavour and simply exquisite. A must have!
Singapore Noodles (55) – I love my noodles thin, soft and flavoursome. The chicken and prawn Singapore noodles covered all three grounds. Together with the black pepper beef, I highly recommend
Dessert:
Molten Chocolate Tart – I never thought I’d still have enough room for dessert, but the restaurant manager insisted we try the molten chocolate tart. We didn’t regret the decision one single bit. A perfect way to end a magnificent dinner.
