As part of the 2013 Singha Thai Food Festival, a friend and I were invited to an exclusive lunch at Chat Thai. We were lucky enough to be seated beside the lovely owner of the restaurant, who explained in detail each dish and the ingredients used to put it all together as they were served. Honestly though, Chat Thai was the greatest Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at…ever, and I’ve been to quite a few over the past couple of years.
The food was so authentic (I know that because I was also seated next to a massive Food Blogger who was of Thai descent), filled with rich ingredients, spices and amazing flavours. Even though most the dishes contained a little chilli, causing Khalil from Food Porn to order 8 waters in the space of an hour, I didn’t mind the extra kick one bit. I loved it!
Here are a few photos we snapped:
Once lunch was over, we all headed to Belmore Park where the Singha Beer Garden was the centre of the Thai Food Festival. Here guests were able to watch live entertainment including live performances by Thai rock band Black Head and the Tiffani Caberet Show from Pattaya.
