Shying away from the rugby heritage the brand has been leveraging off for quite sometime, I have teamed up with Eden Park Middle East on showcasing some of the more smart-casual looks the brand has been pushing through lately.
From polos, checkered shirts, tailored pants and slim blazers, here are three outfits I have styled that are rich in colour and perfect for the fast approaching summer season.
For the first outfit, I chose a very casual ensemble seeing as on the day, the Dubai temperature was living up to its 40 plus degree expectations. I usually choose a to pair a checkered shirt with a very subtle pair of shorts or pants. The ideal scenario is keeping the outfit nice and clean, without overdoing it with more checks and colours.
Here I’m wearing a slim checkered shirt (shop), a pair of Picabali Bermuda shorts in sky blue (shop) and these very comfortable Esperance Suede Espadrilles (shop).
I call the second outfit the “Classic Man” – If you have been following SMF for quite some time now, you’ll know that I’m a sucker for a white pant + navy blazer combination. Here, I’ve paired a nicely tailored pair of white pants (shop) with a slim Eden Park midnight-blue blazer (shop). The detailing in the blazer’s silver buttons make a huge difference to garment.
Keeping it light, I chose a regular flash polo (shop) instead of a classic shirt, capped off with my new favourite espadrilles (shop).
By the time I took my shots for the third outfit, temperatures had already surpassed 45 degrees here in Dubai. So, it was back to the casual shirt + short combination that I adapted in the first outfit.
Instead, I chose to play with foreign colours. Green is something I have recently been introducing to my outfits. It a fresh and clean colour, and perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Here I’ve combined a dark navy linen shirt (shop) with a pair of green Pica Bermuda shorts (shop) and of course, the Esperance Suede Espadrilles (shop).
